So today I’m going to go into some of the reasons a 47 year old woman would need to ask her 5 year old grandson with help working a game system. So one day I’m left home alone with the kids. Of course it was one of those lazy days. Those days the kids want to sit around eating junk food and watching tv. Well in my daughters living room they have a playstation 1000 or whatever dam number they are in. Now it took me forever to work my youngests daughters Xbox. Just to find out they have a butt ton of new systems out. I’m like s**t I just figured out the first one. So anyhow PlayStation is not a system I had even really looked at. Once or twice I seen my son in laws but I was not interested in learning about it. At my age those things are not high on my list of making sure I can run it. I have a hard enough time remembering my dam glasses are on my head. (No one reminds me either) I think they like to watch me wandering around aimlessly looking for something I’m already wearing. So anyhow the kids want to watch some dam Octonauts what ever they are. I get the disk in and I am looking at the remote with the look of what the hell do I do now. The kids are getting restless and start saying come on nana we want Octonauts. I feel the pressure to make this work. I mean a gang of angry toddlers could quickly turn into a riot that I would not recover from easily. It would involve bribery and money possibly. So I say to my oldest grandson in a whisper hey pssst what do I do Ronnie. His response. “Nan you got to push this one then the x then the red and blue and ” well maybe not that many buttons but he saved my butt. I gave him the remote he pushed the buttons and like a miracle the movie started and all was quiet on the toddler front. I wiped the sweat off my brow and took a minute to thank Ron for his help. 5 years old and so very smart. After that ordeal I thought man I hope their parents get home before this movie ends.
Technology is making this blog possible but man oh man without a kid around I may not be able to get into my phone sometimes. Praise the lord for my little grandbabies who learn so much so fast.
